Allyx Bolte – Assistant Editor
Allyx Bolte began her creative career in theater and music at a young age. Later graduating with a degree in film and media arts from UMKC, she discovered that her true passion lies in filmmaking. As assistant editor to Cara Myers, she is a key component to a powerhouse editing team. Allyx is also a member of the Independent Filmmakers Coalition of Kansas City.
Kalee Forsythe – Assistant Editor
Kalee spends most of her time as a freelance assistant editor. She’s assistant edited promotions for a variety of notable clients, including Lee Jeans. She’s currently editing her writer-director debut, E 1200. Her love of storytelling in film, as well as her unique creative vision, make her an irreplaceable asset to any editing team. She also enjoys working on set as a production assistant to help bring great stories to life, network with like-minded creatives, and observe other filmmakers’ processes.
Sam Billen – Composer
Sam Billen is a worldwide composer and producer based in Lawrence, Kansas who has a talent for telling unforgettable stories with the emotionally expansive quality of his music. Known for his signature layered vocals, Sam has done scores for pieces that range from advertising, corporate, documentary, non-profit, and narrative. Sam is a key member of any post-production process, completing the creative circle with his unique approach to storytelling. His melodic, creative expression is a vital component to the overall storytelling power of the finished product. He has worked for clients such as Gatorade, On The Border, Hallmark, and Dairy Queen.

Bryan Keeling – Design + Motion Graphic + Visual Effects
Bryan is an Emmy Award nominated Designer and Motion Graphics artist who has flourished in the design, production and post-production industries for the past 15+ years in Los Angeles, New York and Kansas City. During that time he’s generated highly creative and unique Motion Design and Animation concepts for film, video, and web-content, for numerous broadcast, commercial and corporate clients. His earlier staff engagements include stints at Pittard Sullivan in Los Angeles, Spontaneous and PURE in New York City, and BicMedia in Kansas City. His freelance history includes relationships with numerous NYC facilities, studios and networks such as Spontaneous, Scarlett, Imaginary Forces, Razorfish, Beehive, OPEN, VH1 and TVLAND, to name a few. In 2008 he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, in the category of “Outstanding Main Title Design” for his work as Lead Animator on the main titles for the Fox show, New Amsterdam. Darton Simons – Design + Motion Graphic + Visual Effects
Darton has 20 years of effective interaction with hundred of clients, producers and other creatives. Understanding that form must follow function, particularly in regard to the needs of the client, he puts a premium on building healthy relationships, earning trust and inspiring confidence. His established history of adaptability and willingness to learn allow him to continue to enhance his professional and personal toolboxes. 16 years of creating stand alone motion graphics (short and long form) as well as still/motion graphics in support of video editing are products of his creative versatility. Jud Kite – Graphic Artist
Jud Kite of Killer Kite Productions has been a artist ever since he was old enough to pick up a pencil. From a early age of drawing Batman and Flash Gordon on restaurant placemats and church bulletins, to taking every art and graphic program available in his high school at Odessa, MO, and carrying it into a full-ride scholarship to the Colorado Institute of Art, Denver. With 20 years of experience under his belt, he runs Killer Kite Productions with one set mission: “Don’t say no.” Working with high profile clients such as Joe Perry Rock Your World sauces, the Seattle Mariners through the Feral Few, AAPC Publishing, SPC Publishing, Westport Saloon among many others, he loves finding the challenge in any project and conquering it. Scott Stacy, C.S.I. – Digital Colorist
Light and color is the brush that brings emotion to the canvas of a visual story. A colorist can complete the creative circle by connecting a unique look to a story, elevating the quality and experience of a piece that sets it a part. Scott Stacy brings enthusiasm to merging the technical process of color correction and grading as a powerful layer of storytelling. Scott’s creative history began as a San Francisco and Los Angeles-based audio engineer in music, film and television. The shift from mixing audio elements to mixing color and light has been an natural and creative transition. Scott’s color grading clients range from those such as 20th Century Fox and Lee Jeans to independent filmmakers. Other areas of interest include non-profit films/documentaries and artistic work, such as pieces produced by international fashion photographer Ramón Gellida’s. Taylre Jones – Digital Colorist
Digital colorist, Taylre Jones, specializes in the art of color correction and color grading for film/video. He accomplished his training in Chicago, and through the process established his own company, Grade. Taylre’s background in production and post-production give him the expertise to understand the nuances of color at every step. Taylre has taken the helm as lead colorist on national commercials for clients such as NAPA, Wendy’s, Sprint, and Advantage and has done international work in Australia and Kuwait. He has also blazed his career path as lead colorist on televisions shows, music videos, and various short and feature films. Sean Joseph – VFX Artist + Aerial Operator
Sean Joseph is a diverse creative with over 10 years of experience in production and post-production. As a VFX artist he has worked on some of the biggest shows on television, such as Lost, Fringe, Person of Interest, and Breaking Bad, which earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination. In addition to his expertise in post-production workflows, he also offers high-end aerial footage with his fleet of drones, having worked with clients such as The Big 12, Sprint, and the city of Kansas City. Annie Walsh – Producer / Account Manager
Annie Walsh is a freelance producer, audio editor, and former board member for Kansas City Women in Film and Television (KCWIFT). Annie has also served as KCWIFT’s Vice President, Secretary, and as Chairperson for the KCWIFT and Kansas City FilmFest Short Screenplay Competition. She has a background in literature, music, media, and business and is equally at home with both the creative and administrative sides of non-profit, commercial, and arts organizations. Her work as the former assistant producer and technical editor/broadcast engineer for the internationally distributed public radio literary program New Letters on the Air helped earn the show two Clarion Awards from the Association for Women in Communications—one for best Women’s Issues Radio Program and one for best Regular Talk or Interview Program in Radio. Her recent work includes collaboration with Vespera Films as a producer and pro bono work for the Bethel Neighborhood Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She enjoys singing with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus and has acted in and provided production assistance for various radio, television, and film projects in the Kansas City area. Annie has also written, produced, directed, and edited short films, as well as a feature-length documentary, and currently teaches audio editing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Jason Cantu – Cinematographer + Crane + Steadicam Operator
As a seasoned Director of Photography, Jason Cantu has filmed hundreds of hours of finished programming including independent feature film, documentaries, music videos, commercials and television programming. Ty Jones – Cinematographer + Director
Ty Jones was a filmmaker from the start, a passion that emerged at a young age. He has gone on to express his filmic vision as an actor, director, and director of photography. His natural ability helps him to create films that are exciting to watch, evoke laughter, and touch the emotional core of audiences worldwide.
Over the last 10 years, Ty has directed over 40 short films, some of which have played around the world. He has also worked on a plethora of commercial projects, such as spots for NASCAR, Walmart, Sprint and many other national television programs.
He has studied at the Hollywood Film Institute in Chicago and Los Angeles with gurus such as Dov Simens, who also helped Spike Lee and Quentin Tarantino begin their careers.
Ty has also worked in Los Angeles with Jeff Burr on his latest feature, “The Devil’s Den.” He also continues to create his own films. Kevin McKinney – Cinematographer + Gaffer + Sound Recordist
Kevin McKinney was born in Wiesbaden Germany, and graduated from the University of Kansas with a double major in Sociology and Theatre/Film. With a wide range of experience in every production speciality, Kevin is a key member of any crew. Bringing a creative, inventive spirit to each project, he is a vital part to any filmmaking process. With experience in working in forms from documentary, to corporate, to commercial and narrative, Kevin brings valuable insight to each set he works on. Aside from Kevin’s own award winning feature documentary called Corporate FM, his other noteworthy feature documentary work includes camera and sound on “Body of War” directed by Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro. Todd Norris – Cinematographer + Gaffer
Todd Norris (Writer/Producer/Director) is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker who has served as director, cinematographer and editor on features and short films for 25 years. As a cinematographer, he has photographed many short films and feature films, including First Date, which premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.
As a writer/director, Norris’ 2012 film Candy Apple Red won numerous awards at festivals around the country, including best LGBT film at SENEfest in Rhode Island. Working with Mitch Brian as Jetpack Pictures, he has co-directed music videos for Tiny Horse, The Grisly Hand and The Latenight Callers. Shawn Wright – Cinematographer, 1st AC + D.I.T.
Shawn Wright is a Cinematographer, 1st Assistant Cameraman, and D.I.T. who uses histechnical expertise to influence the bigger picture: telling a great story. Having a background in both film and video disciplines opened the door for him as the industry evolved into the era of “digital cinema”. Shawn’s clients in commercial, corporate, and feature film rely on his ability to create emotional appeal in the imagery, operate complex camera systems, and consult on the technical direction of their production. Shawn has contributed services to spots for Sprint, Nike, Budweiser, LG, AMC Theatres and various feature and documentary films. Shawn also applies his varied technical and creative background to the world of independent film. He is credited as Director, Co-Producer, and Cinematographer of the successful independent web series Kill Em All. The series received multiple festival invitations and Shawn took home a best Director award from the L.A. Webfest in 2014.
John Burke – Camera Assistant + D.I.T.
John Burke is a freelance Camera Assistant and Media Manager based out of the Kansas City, Missouri market. With five years of full time camera department experience, John has worked in commercial, corporate, television, documentary, live music, and film environments.
John has experience building, operating, and pulling focus with a wide variety of digital cinema cameras and DSLR cameras including remote focusing experience with jib and Steadicam setups, both in-studio and on-location. John is mobile and equipped with a camera van for in-town or cross-country transport of camera packages and other gear.
Additionally, John is an experienced DIT with on-set offloading of media, transcoding, and preliminary color correction of dailies. John has a mobile, Mac-based, media management kit for on-location and in-studio digital media management including several Mac-based machines and a wide range of accompanying software.
C.J. Drumeller – Audio Engineer + Sound Recordist
C.J. Drumeller is a three time Emmy Award winning Sound Supervisor, Production Sound Mixer, Sound Re-recording Mixer and Composer who has worked projects ranging from national commercials, corporate videos, documentaries and narrative films. C.J. specializes in the art of sound, powerfully and artfully enhancing any visual experience with obsessive attention to detail. Scott Jolley – Steadicam + Stabilizer + Jib Arm Operator
Scott Jolley is a steadicam/stabilizer/jib arm operator, UAV pilot, D.P. and general mad scientist. He loves the art of storytelling through moving pictures. Scott’s first tv job was in Jr. high working at the public access station WAY back in 1977. Collin Martin – Assistant Camera
Collin Martin is a seasoned camera assistant and focus puller. Passionate about his craft, he strives to help each production reach their goals. Collin has been working in the industry lighting and shooting for over twelve years. Starting in advertising, he travelled making college commercials around the country. Since then, he has become known for executing tough focus pulls in situations ranging from low light to fast action. Collin’s career has spanned working on music videos to full-length features. Providing rentals, he can recommend camera gear and lighting for your project. His toolkit includes a Red Epic Dragon camera package that can shoot up to 6K resolution. For high frame rate, the Dragon can also shoot up to 300 frames per second for achieving the slow motion look that has become more and more popular. Seth Lesko – Digital Imaging Technician + Sound Recordist
Seth Lesko is a Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) and Location Sound Recordist based in Kansas City, Missouri. Seth is know for bring a vast amount of technical solutions on set for complex location and studio productions. Some of these solutions include: On set Transcoding, Live 3D LUT’s with Live Grade, and mobile uploading of content during production for projects with tight deadlines.
